Trails in the Sky SC Max BP Guide: 100% Walkthrough for Second Chapter

Trails in the Sky SC Max BP Guide: 100% Walkthrough for Second Chapter

If there is one thing I love about The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, it is how seriously the game takes the idea of being a Bracer.

You are not simply running from one story event to another. You are investigating disappearances, helping ordinary people, solving local problems, protecting civilians, and occasionally getting dragged into situations that are much bigger than anything you expected. The game actually remembers how carefully you do your job.

That is exactly why chasing the maximum 382 Bracer Points can be both incredibly satisfying and incredibly frustrating.

I went into SC expecting a fairly straightforward 100% run. It wasn’t. Some BP comes from obvious quests, while other points depend on specific answers, optional objectives, investigation details, party composition, or simply doing things before the chapter moves on.

So, if you’re starting a fresh SC playthrough and want the A+ Bracer Rank, this is the route I recommend following.

And yes, we’re going all the way to 382/382 BP.

Why 382 BP Matters in Trails in the Sky SC

The Bracer system is one of the coolest parts of Trails in the Sky SC because it makes side content feel meaningful instead of disposable.

Your BP total determines your Bracer rank, and the highest possible result is A+. The important thing is that you cannot casually lose a few points and expect to recover them later. Several opportunities are permanently missable.

Trails in the Sky SC Max BP Guide: 100% Walkthrough for Second Chapter

That’s what makes this game different from a lot of modern RPGs.

You need to pay attention.

Dialogue choices matter. Quest order matters. Optional battles matter. Some investigations reward you for figuring things out yourself instead of immediately asking for assistance.

If you’re aiming for a perfect run, I strongly recommend saving before major investigations and important dialogue sequences. It can save you a lot of pain.

The totals above are the numbers I would keep beside me during a serious 100% playthrough.

Before You Start: The FC Save Bonus

First things first.

If you have a perfect Trails in the Sky FC save with 368 BP, carry it into SC.

This provides additional bonuses and equipment, including the very useful Luck Quartz.

You don’t need this bonus to achieve the 382 BP target in SC, but if you’re building a completionist save, there is really no reason not to bring over the best FC clear data you have.

This is one of those small details that is easy to overlook if you jump directly into SC.

Trails in the Sky SC Max BP Guide: 100% Walkthrough for Second Chapter

Prologue — A Maiden’s Resolve

Maximum: 16 BP

The opening section establishes the rules for the entire game. You are already being tested on whether you’re paying attention.

The major objective here is General Training, which provides 2 Base BP plus 14 Bonus BP.

During the sequence, make sure you:

  • Choose “Wake Up” when you hear the noise.
  • Win the ambush battle.
  • Identify “The Attacking Jaegers” in Saint-Croix Forest.
  • Choose “Move to a New Base” at the training lodge.
  • Select “Don’t NEED to Contact” when cornering the targets at Grimsel Fortress.

That’s a huge amount of BP for the opening section, so don’t treat the prologue as disposable tutorial content.

It isn’t.

Chapter 1 — Sneaking Shadows

Maximum: 46 BP | Running Total: 62

This is where the 100% route starts getting more demanding.

The big story investigation is the White Shadow Case, worth 5 Base BP + 3 Bonus BP.

When you’re asked about the investigation, select:

“Where the white shadow went.”

Then there are several side quests that you absolutely want to finish.

Important Chapter 1 Side Content

Come, Ingredient Hunters! gives 2 Base BP + 1 Bonus BP if you submit all six required ingredients.

The Sapphirl Tower Photo quest gives 1 Base BP + 4 Bonus BP. Bring Dorothy and allow the photograph to happen.

And don’t forget the regular board quests.

You want to complete all seven:

  • Gull Seaside
  • Aurian
  • Casino
  • Sunday School
  • Maintenance
  • Violette
  • Prototype Shoes

This is exactly the kind of chapter where I like to slow down and clear the board before progressing the main story.

Chapter 2 — The Raging Land

Maximum: 47 BP | Running Total: 109

Chapter 2 is where the investigation mechanics become much more important.

During Earthquake Investigation, speak with Rudi at the Kaldia Tunnel entrance about the “Creepy Dude in Black.”

At the Sanktheim Gate event, choose:

“Both.”

The next major investigation, Investigate the Epicenter, is worth 6 Base BP + 2 Bonus BP.

Your key answer here is:

“Elmo Village is the source.”

There’s also the Training Assistance side quest, worth 2 Base BP + 3 Bonus BP. To get the maximum, win all three mock battles.

Before wrapping up the chapter, clear the six regular board quests:

  • Ritz
  • Parts Search
  • Forbidden Milk
  • Tratt
  • Kaldia
  • Leiston

At this point, your target should be 109 BP.

If you’re below that number, stop and figure out what you missed before moving forward.

Chapter 3 — The Mad Tea Party

Maximum: 49 BP | Running Total: 158

This chapter contains one of those moments where Trails really rewards players for actually investigating instead of rushing through dialogue.

The Ghostly Threat in Grancel quest provides 6 Base BP + 5 Bonus BP.

During the investigation, gather the clues yourself without asking for hints.

Trails in the Sky SC Max BP Guide: 100% Walkthrough for Second Chapter

When the important answers come up, choose:

“No witnesses”

and then:

“Luke collapsed.”

The Letter Carrier side quest is worth 2 Base BP + 2 Bonus BP, but the delivery order matters if you’re chasing the maximum.

Then there is Mayoral Theft, which gives 3 Base BP + 5 Bonus BP.

Solve all the riddles in the harbor and city districts without failing.

Also complete the four regular board quests:

  • Sewer Monster E/W
  • Ruins
  • Royal Avenue
  • The remaining listed board assignment before chapter completion

This chapter is a good reminder that 100% SC isn’t just about completing quests — it’s about completing them correctly.

Chapter 4 — The Mist Demon’s Target

Maximum: 51 BP | Running Total: 209

Now things start getting serious.

The Sky Bandit Stronghold investigation gives 5 Base BP + 3 Bonus BP.

The correct response is:

“Their Hideout is somewhere special.”

The Rolent Fog Investigation is worth 7 Base BP + 3 Bonus BP.

Pay close attention to the evidence and select the correct combination for “The Perpetrator’s Illusion.”

For The Missing Lady, worth 2 Base BP + 2 Bonus BP, choose:

“Frontal Assault.”

Then clear the five regular board quests:

  • Rolent Sewer
  • Elize Highway
  • Milch Road
  • Perzel Farm
  • Aryll

Your running total should reach 209 BP.

Chapter 5 — That Which One Must Protect

Maximum: 54 BP | Running Total: 263

This is one of the bigger BP chapters, so there is plenty of room to make a mistake if you’re rushing.

The Missing Airliner Search gives 8 Base BP + 4 Bonus BP.

The important answers are:

“To find the hideout”

and

“The center of the lake.”

The side quest The Rarest Flavor is worth 3 Base BP + 3 Bonus BP.

For the Firefly Fungus objective, speak with Orvid at the south Bose Market entrance.

And, as always, clean up the regular board quests:

  • West Bose
  • East Bose
  • Krone
  • Nebel
  • Ravennue
  • Dragon

At the end of Chapter 5, you want to see 263 BP.

Chapter 6 — The Whereabouts of Bonds

Maximum: 27 BP | Running Total: 290

Chapter 6 is shorter from a BP perspective, but don’t let that make you careless.

During Infiltration of the Glorious, there is an optional Enforcer encounter on the deck.

Defeat the optional boss.

That extra fight is important for the maximum BP route.

The Merchant Escort quest provides 3 Base BP + 2 Bonus BP.

Keep Mirano’s HP above 80% and avoid triggering encounters during the escort.

Then complete:

  • Lakeside
  • Milford
  • Mine

Your target is 290 BP.

Chapter 7 — Tetracyclic Towers

Maximum: 46 BP | Running Total: 336

Chapter 7 is where party composition suddenly becomes part of your BP strategy.

The tower Enforcer encounters provide a substantial chunk of your total, with 24 Base BP + 8 Bonus BP available from the relevant main quests.

The hidden requirements involve bringing specific characters to specific towers.

TowerCharacter to Bring
EsmelasSchera
SapphirlKloe
AmberZin
JadeOlivier

This is one of my favorite little details in the entire SC BP system.

It feels less like checking a quest box and more like the game is rewarding you for understanding its characters and relationships.

Don’t just build your strongest possible party and forget about everyone else.

For the perfect BP route, bring the correct character to each tower.

Also finish the three regular board quests:

  • Royal Ave
  • Tratt
  • Krone Pass

Your running total should now be 336 BP.

Chapter 8 — Land of Chaos

Maximum: 46 BP | Final Total: 382

This is the finish line.

Everything you’ve done throughout the game comes together here.

The Zero-Field Generator quest provides 12 Base BP + 8 Bonus BP.

Your objective is to deliver the devices to all required branches efficiently.

There’s also The Occupation of Jenis, worth 6 Base BP + 5 Bonus BP.

The important part here is to free the hostages stealthily rather than turning the entire situation into a chaotic battle.

Finally, clear the three remaining regular board quests:

  • Grancel
  • Bose
  • Ruan

If you’ve followed the route correctly, you should reach:

382 / 382 BP

That’s your perfect A+ Bracer Rank.

And honestly? Seeing that number pop up after keeping track of every tiny requirement across the entire game feels fantastic.

Final Chapter — The BP Is Already Locked In

The finale itself doesn’t add BP.

That means Chapter 8 is your final opportunity to confirm that everything is correct.

Before pushing into the endgame, check your total.

382 BP = maximum rank.

If you’re sitting at 379, 376, or anything else, don’t assume you can somehow recover the missing points during the finale.

You can’t.

That’s why I recommend treating each chapter like its own checkpoint.

My Personal 100% SC Strategy

If you’re playing Trails in the Sky SC for the first time, I wouldn’t recommend blindly rushing through the story while constantly staring at a guide.

That can suck the personality out of the game.

Instead, I use a simple approach:

  1. Start each chapter by checking the available board quests.
  2. Save before major investigations and important dialogue choices.
  3. Complete optional quests before advancing the main story whenever possible.
  4. Check your BP against the running total before leaving each chapter.
  5. Pay special attention to hidden party requirements and optional battles.

The biggest mistake is assuming a quest is finished simply because the objective says so.

In SC, the difference between completing a quest and completing it perfectly can be several BP.

The Bottom Line

Trails in the Sky SC is old-school in the best possible way.

The game expects you to remember things. It expects you to investigate. It expects you to talk to people, check side quests, make decisions carefully, and occasionally notice details that would be completely irrelevant in another RPG.

That’s also why getting 382 BP feels rewarding.

You’re not simply collecting points. You’re proving that you actually played the game the way a Bracer should.

If you’re chasing the A+ Rank, keep this guide nearby, make regular saves, and never assume that a seemingly harmless dialogue option doesn’t matter.

Because in SC, sometimes one sentence is worth the difference between an almost-perfect run and 382/382.

And personally, I think that’s exactly the kind of RPG design that still makes Trails in the Sky SC worth playing today.
